BAROOD KHANA (LAHORE FORT) LAHORE
Year of Built: 1857

Barood Khana, literally meaning an arsenal depot, was built in 1857 during the British Raj, for the purpose of storing gun
powder as well as all kinds of arsenal. Its structure is adjacent to Alamgiri Gate and Musamam Darwaza of Lahore Fort.
The building was hidden and buried under loads of debris and waste before its restoration was completed and it was
converted into a conference hall for dignitaries.
