The current building of ATI was constructed in 1922 in Peshawar as a vocational training college by Education Department of the British Raj, which was temporarily loaned to University of Peshawar. Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) was established in 1957, working under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Agriculture. It has been a source of capacity building of officers and officials under various schemes and developmental projects.
